NoMuda VisualFactory has been eliminating waste on factory shop floors for over 20 years.

Our Lean Manufacturing heritage has allowed us to work with some of the largest manufacturers in the world. Here is an insight into how we have led the way in a competitive digital manufacturing market.

1998
Founder Phil Borland started NoMuda to help manufacturing companies implement Lean Best Practice.
2002
VisualFactory was developed to create paper-based Work Instructions at Volvo Construction Equipment in North Carolina.
2006
First customers beyond Volvo Construction Equipment, Racal Acoustics, Hypertherm and Mercedes Benz High-Performance Engines.
2007/8
NoMuda developed paperless Work Instructions in 2007 with data collection integrated into the Work Instructions in 2008. NoMuda stopped consulting activity to focus on the VisualFactory software and hired our first dedicated software developer.
2011 to 2014
Significant growth in functionality and customer base, especially in the USA.
2015
Our development and Quality Assurance team doubled in size and we established offices in North Carolina, USA and Toronto, Canada.
2016
Full rewrite of VisualFactory using current technologies released as version 4.
2021
NoMuda VisualFactory is now located in the UK, The USA and Canada with customers based across the globe. NoMuda are able to respond to customer demands with industry leading software updates throughout the year.
